Its that time of year to start thinking about what seeds to start for the summer garden. Have you gotton your order together and sent off for seed or found them at the local farmer or seed store? Do you know how to do it?
I have been an avid flower and vegetable grower since I was knee high to a grasshopper,when both my sets of grandparents began to teach me.I am a grower of all sorts of things and have learned by trial and error how to can, freeze, and dry my harvests for my family's consumption. This is my first attempt at blogging because I have been asked to share my wealth of information with others so that they can "grow to survive" as I have done.
Any questions you might have are encouraged. As this sight develops, I hope to expand so that others can input and extract things to help themselves and others in their quest for saving money by growing and preserving their own produce. In today's economy this is becoming crutial. I hope to help you learn to grow, preserve, and prepare dishes that you can smile and say,"I grew it, put it up, and cooked it with my own two hands."
